I use Gimp to make skins all the time - but I also use Brighter to convert them. I save the skin as a 24 bit .bmp, then run it through Brighter and voila.

And that is where Cnopi was wrong.

You have never tried my way and you say that I am wrong when I use the programs I already have... Hmm...
