Yes -- Don't just assume all is lost and re-install.
First uninstall the new aircraft and check to see if it runs ok.
If it does then install each new aircraft one at a time to identify where the problem is.
I've given up using Auto Installers.
I just open up the installation file to see what it wants to install and then do it manually.
That way I can see exactly which files will be over written and make sure I have backups until I know its all working.
All the file entries which Hot Space mentions above can be found in the installation files for each aircraft.
