GPreddy, I had the same problem a few days ago with similar or exact errors.
Do you have the new Universal Installer for MODS?
That's where my problem started.
I had missing sound files in my UI download. There is a fix for that in the UI Bugs thread.
That helped, but I also think my computer needed more memory available to work with these larger MODS maps so I increased the Page File in my computer and that also helped.
Not sure if these tips will help you but this is my story.
ps. I know how bad you want to get the map working. It was the same way with me for BurmaLower. But now all probs are fixed and I'm editing that map with ease.
