can someone please advise where i have to drop/install this?

i cannot find my current direct x anywhere, it was done automatically when you install il2 for example, should i just drop it in program files??

If you want to know which version of Directx you have in your computer (assuming that you have windowsxp) just go to Start - run - then in the command line just type dxdiag a screen will popup telling everything about your directx. In any case the dx drivers are in your windows/ system32 folder
