So have you concluded what was wrong with the original model?

As I have followed the numerous *gringe* threads started by an unnamed person over this and the ensuing debate the following things spring to mind:
Low/medium altidute top speed is too low
Climbrate is too slow
Acceleration to top speed is too slow

Etc.

That sounds like most of the aircraft i know of.
