Nevertheless, if someone wanted to make a map of the Vietnam area, I think it would be a wonderful idea. The conflict in Vietnam goes a long way before US intrusion into the war, and the war against French occupation used WW2 aircraft. IIRC, The Colonial French ended up using captured Japanese aircraft when their own were no longer serviceable.

I have photos of Spit IXs serving with the French over what was to become Vietnam. I don't see why that conflict shouldn't be worked on, as it was quite soon after the war (about the same timeframe as Korea, from what I remember) and used a lot of late-war/immediately postwar equipment.
