That's a fun plane. It was captured after it was downed by flak during Operation Bodenplatte. The Americans took it and repaired it. They painted it red to distinguish it from German Fw 109's and intended to fly it into combat with Thunderbolts. It just didn't work out... The markings are rather fun. The tail serial code was not an official one but rather the date of capture, January 1, 1945. The ID letters on the side, OO-L, are not official either but are for the general aircraft code assigned in Belgium, OO, and L for Leo Moon, the intended combat pilot of the red 190.
