Interesting pics.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that 109 looks like it was captured by the British and transferred to US forces afterward. Why else would an RAF flash appear on the fin? Or have I confused this with some sort of foreign marking?

It was quite common I believe, during Operation Torch in North Africa, for USAAF to have the Fin Flash as well.
