A good map....lots of nice airstrips...(glad you got rid of that awful large plate strip i used in my thailand map).
looking at some of the smaller rivers which just show up on the 2D map....and then on the ground.... you can easily see the route of the river by the slightly different texture and the contours.... I DO wish we could cut rivers in 3D mode as easily as we can lay road or rail.
FabianFred, I didn't get rid of your large cat plate strip because it was ugly but because I thought it was slowing down frame rates. Maybe it was just the large concentration of your modded objects in some cities? Sorry, but I even deleted the Toungoo city plate and filled the area with stock buildings. Your buildings and trees are great but I just had problems with them and my comp. I know you spent a lot of time working on the eastern Burma area and I appreciate that. Your Mingaladon and Moulmein airfields remained pretty much untouched...thanks for the work on those!
I did have to re-draw alot of the roads/RR that were going up the sides of mountains. That was a big job! But I'm glad you had them already drawn in the general area where they needed to be. That helped alot.
About the rivers...I felt it was too difficult to trace the smaller rivers on to the 2-D map but realized, like you said, the river valleys are quite distinguishable on the 2D.
