Unfortunately I'm no modder either and wouldn't know where to start. First thing would be to create a new 'water weapon' and a destructible version of the 'fire' and 'smoke' static objects. Looks like everyone with the skills required to do this is busy right now, but maybe someday...
Could be a great online scenario too : both sides would fly bombers on a map covered with forests, one side would be armed with incendiary bombs, the other with water bombs
Of course everyone would have gunners on their bombers, so there could be 'heavies' dogfights over the fires. Would be super sweet wouldn't it ? Not sure that could really be done (bombs creating expanding destructible fires... ? )
