I've tried it in-game: it's absolutely marvelous! I wonder why this thread isn't more popular. It looks exacly like on old gun-camera films. The stock tracer was too much of a straight line, even the new, curly one. I had to disable my Spitfire .303 tracers mod folder though. It looked funny when these smoke trails came from 6 barrels.
And no fps hit (yet). Great job!

PS: Maybe it would be more realistic to shorten the trails to about 80%, but it's just my two cents.
