I use HyperOS which allows me to run multiple operating systems. I have one partition for Win 7 64 bit, and so far, RC1 (which is Build 7100) has been flawless. I find myself using it more than any of the Vista 64 partitions that I have.
Even with less than 4GB of memory you really should need to install the 64 bit version. The only good reason for installing the 32 bit version would be if you are installing on something like a Netbook, or a really old sysyem that doesn't have a 64 bit processor.
It's also quite possibly related to your video card, as nVidia seems to be 'behind the curve' with their drivers for Win 7, just as thay were with Vista.
