This is a great thread. I am looking forward to Lejo's finished Crimea map.
Zmey, thanks for the great photos. I was thinking of doing a map of the area east of the lower Don River at some point. I believe that would all be steppe zone. Is the countryside always that brown colour? I would have screwed up and made it green.
