Boris The Spider Wrote:Place a moving ship waypoint in the river where you want the ship to begin movement. Then take any aircraft and describe a path along that river by setting waypoints. Save the mission and open the .mis file with any suitable text editor such as Notepad. Then transfer the positional data from the aircraft waypoints to the "Chief Waypoint" section of the .mis file. Remove speed and altitude info. (by default that would be '300' for speed and '500' for height). Be sure to add '120' to the last waypoint entry. It is required to stop the ship. Then remove the a/c lines from the file. Click 'Save' (NOT Save As) and viola, you now have a ship plying the river(s) of your map.
(Using the same method you can make landing craft actually reach the beach or make trains cross deserts with no rail tracks)
Thanks, I was playing around in FMB the other day and discovered that landing craft are also restricted to deep water. Was kind of a WTF moment for me to be honest, especially since I've been using the FMB for several years now and only just found that out  This way I can fill up that gap between the ships and the beached landing craft...
