i have a dual core intel chip and its doing strange things, core 2 runs at about full tilt all the time and core 1 is running less than 20% unless it needs to take up the slack. Recently i tried to install a windows vista update and it failed miserably, so i had to use the vista disc and use system restore. After that it went ape ****. The computer is about three years old but i take real good care of it, put a fresh load of vista on it like 4 months ago, good drivers etc no problems till this. I am baffled by this new development... my computer is usually really good at multitasking but after the system restore it just sucks at it.

hope someone has some sage advice for me cause im lost. OH and it hasnt been overheated or dropped or anything like that...
