No Messerschidt and karyu are 90% identical in outside structure. Compare 2 Blueprints. Only some details on the motor and the rudders are a bit different. Messerschmidt and Kikka, can't be compared in that fact you are right, but Karyu and Messerschmidt have very simmilar performance and proportions.
