If the installer deletes the MODs folder before installing the patch there is a chance that the patch files overwrites some of the files from the deleted MODs folder... thus you will lose them even if you use undelete plus (which is quite good btw)
But... is not HSFX fault... i mean:
the warning is in the readme,
the installer warns the user before actually starting the install (thanks for that... I didn't read the readme good either
)
it is a norm for a long time now to always back up your IL-2 folder before major installs or even prefer doing a clean install for every new MOD Pack (I have a clean 4.09m at the ready always and my mods are spread in 4 installs)
