Ahah, and looks what I got for assuming I knew what that HSFX installer would do. that stupid Hubris of mine... I'm a strong believer in learning from one's mistakes, so that should teach me a thing or two for next time.
Ok then, so I should have read more carefully and made a backup before I went all 'mr experienced user guy' on this one, my mistake. It's not HSFX's fault that I just can't seem to get anything right today. Sorry 'bout the little venting, I ought to stay away from the coffee pot after 9am...
I still can't quite understand why they need to erase the pre-existing Mod folder, and I still think it is a completely stupid thing to do. I'll just try and phrase that differently next time

They removed the mods folder to assure that it worked right away. Keeping the mods folder intact can introduce unknown issues since anything in the mods folder will take precedence.
