The FM2 could turn with the zero if it kept it's speed above 200mph (all other things being equal such as energy state, fuel load etc.).
The F6F was meant to be superior to the Zero in speed, rate of climb and dive speed, I don't know about turning. Turn rate can be affected by so many things- it may be different depending on altitude, speed or energy state going into the turn, trim and the pilot's ability to maintain the turn without too much energy bleed. Also remember that turns were usually not executed as flat turns, they involved yo-yoing in most cases.
Knowledgeable folks such as Ronnco have complained about the stock F6Fs in game being underpowered.
