FLOLS (optical landing system) didn't show up until the mid-50's on US carriers so at least for Korean era stuff they would be inaccurate. However, I am in agreement that it would be very cool to have them in the game none the less. I'm not sure how accurate they could make it though since the one's I've seen in Microsoft FSX aren't prefect and at this point they're the best game in town. I'm pretty sure this inaacuracy is because FSX uses a generic hook to eye setting where on a real carrier the FLOLS (or IFLOFLS) is adjusted for each aircraft type that's trapping at the time so the descent rate and glide slope are correct for the differences in aircraft. I think it would end up being more of a neat piece of eye candy rather than a useful tool for trapping aboard ship unless it was only set up for the F9F Panther (assuming no other carrier jet mods are made). Still, it could be pretty neat if they could get all to work.
