I have been trying to learn Blender for ages, but the UI sucks bigtime. Too many things for beginners. I just wish that they would announce more simplier version for beginners. It is by far the best freeware 3d program, but the learning curve is steep....
There are many good freeware programs too.
The best for IL2 is 3d max.
