Thanks, great infos! I really like the Bat, although I forget it almost... :-? I'm concentrating so much on the P-38K... :lol: But if we talking about the what ifs, we should mention the Vultee XP-54 Swoose Goose, the Curtiss XP-55 Ascender and the Northrop XP-56 Black Bullet. And who knows how many aircrafts! :???:

If you go to SAS IL-2 1946 forum, there is alot of progress going on on the development of navy version of P-38s done by famous modders there for IL-2 1946.
