That and they are more realistic and therfore more imersive..

Rudder on a twist stick just seems gamie to me.. that and you can un-intentionally induce rudder when moving pitch and yaw..

About the only way I would recomend using twist sticks for rudders is if you don't have any legs that work!

No some of the early war stuff like the 109s didn't have rudder trime.. They had a trim tab that could be bent to a postion you liked whey parked on the ground, but it was not adjustable from the cockpit, thus the pilot had to apply and hold rudder offsets with his legs.. Can fatige a pilot on a long flight.. But the 109 was never intended for long flight.. Thus it was not really capable of projecting air power like the US planes (38, 47, 51, etc) could and did
