With a Intel Xeon (Server) you will get a eight (8) core CPU 8)
With AMD you will get even a twelve (12) core CPU hock:
Imho, its not really the CPU that matters - but the software!
Where do you have software which supports and works with all these CPU's?
It's like having a Ferrari - with an engine with twelve cylinder and 670PS - but only 1 or 2 cylinder are working!
So, if you would have an IL2 or SOW which really works even just with a two or four core CPU and a 64-bit OS- it would be fantastic! 8)
And all the other components of your PC even matter too.. :wink:
Well, what will we do? We will wait and see what will happen - and then choose the right machine! :wink:
