Hi,
It's in the aircraft folder 3do/plane/*aircraftname in the SFS or in aircraft mod-folder. In case it's in SFS, extract the pilot of the aircraft that you want to work with, other wise just open the 3do/plane/... and you will find the mesh there. It is highly recommend that you extract the whole aircraft because the pilot 3d compose of several things: pilot1.msh, pilot1.mat, Hmask.msh, head1.msh, etc.
the 3d part will be the .msh while .mat is for material. open the mesh file, if it's in binary (you can't read) then you can import it using buggy importer, other wise, you have to export to 3ds file and import to your max manually.
