Is there anywhere I can get this skin for the P-38?

Reason I'm asking is I have a beautifully made and painted 1:48 scale model of a Lightning that I brought from a guy who was closing down his model shop and selling all the models he had made, and it is wearing that exact set of markings, so I would love to be able to fly in that plane myself.

David603,

I am making a campaign for the 459th FS Twin Dragons and will release it when the new map version is ready for download. This skin and a few others (more weathered) will be in the campaign download.
A couple years ago I had the same request and someone emailed the skins to me. If you can wait a few more days then your patience will be rewarded with skins and a campaign to go with 'em.

MAP NOTES:
Cleared trees out of rivers and water and hopefully I didn't miss any. You can get lost in eastern Burma following some very small rivers! ... thanks to Fabianfred for adding those. Eastern Burma really needed the most work with that problem but I hope everyone will be pleased with the work.

Added some Railroad stations and did more populating of villages, mostly in north-central area. Good for ground attacks but most people flying high won't even notice haha!

Zayatkwin and its airfield are being added to its realistic location. The airfield at Hlegu will remain as is. I got feedback for how to fix Mingaladon spawning so that will be fixed too.

If you like the P-38 then you're going to love this Twin Dragons campaign on this new map...

Hi CzechTexan,

I downloaded your beautiful BurmaLowerV2. But when I installed it, and opened up the FMB I got a Java Runtime Exception load ini error. I installed the map how it should be installed. Put the load ini sequence in the all.ini file, put the textures in the _tex folder, and put the rest in the maps folder. I have installed multiple maps before with no problem, I would love to get your map to work also.Smile

Thanks,
liamp51

PS: Do you have to have version 1?

Need to fix the load.ini for the Airflied1 Texture entry:

It should be linked to the Burmalower folder: BurmaLower/Spain_Tex_512_43_Green.tga,-2 instead of land/summer/Spain_Tex_512_43_Green.tga,-2.

And Darwin textures are not present :S

I must have missed some things while getting it ready for download. I'll look into it. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm not finished tinkering yet. While looking through textures for the Load.ini and download package I decided to change some of the "old school" airfield textures. Many airfields which had parts of Imphal Main have been replaced with new Agracier textures and they blend in better with the surrounding countryside. The larger airfields with Imphal Main are still there though.

Also changed the beaches texture. Spent much time (again) trying to get waves on beaches but to no avail. I figure it must be something to do with Map_T and Map_C not lining up when the map was first made. Too much headache for me to fix so to heck with it.

I'll try to post some pics and will most likely have this ready to download, 2nd try, next weekend, be sure! Wink

Please be patient. And if you downloaded Twin Dragons campaign I suggest you wait to play it. The campaign is best used for version 2 of the map because it has new airfields.

Sorry for any inconvenience but I guess we all know AAA file structure can be complicated. My fault for not checking it closely enough.

Version 2.1 is now available to Download here:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/lmnyunmnt ... erV2.1.zip

(if you don't have the UP2.0 or HSFX then you might need to install KevinP's Road/Rail plates MOD. This MOD has the curved railroad tracks and I experimented some in this map with them).
