A suggestion Re: AAA Forum

Colours aren't the problem, i can set the colours. What i can't seem to set is the font at the moment and I'm wary of messing up the defaults by having a shufti at them.

Do the standard modder thing and making a working copy. That way you can quickly go the the untouched copy.

By the way, you can test it in your browser in full view-you knew that, right?

Go to the profile options and have a look at test 1...?

Yes, you have a hit if there are no technical gliches.

What you have there will enable the user to define the background in their own computer Personalize settings of the Control Panel. I have mine set to a North Africa Desert Orange Sand and it looks great, though orange lettering does not show well.

I recommend this one and specify in the name that it is user defined background:

User defined background color.

messing around with themes at the moment. A bit clumsy, but all right i guess. Still adjusting. But a white backgrounded one is a yes then?

The one that I just examined as the Test 1 is user defined background, which is what we need-it's not white, it is user defined by Control Panel / Personalize settings.

Now, with the user defined background, then the AAA member can put a Desktop image on their screen and it will appear in the background of the AAA website pages.

I'm not sure about the blue-text on grey m8. It's certainly a good start though, although I will definately stick to the usual background scheme Wink

Board: User Defined Background

This will allow images to be placed by the AAA member as a background to the webpages of our site.

Moggy, I believe that the first Test 1 configuration would have allowed the user to define the background color according to the settings in the Control Panel/ Personalize configuration, which is the Desktop background settings. Included in this is the ability for the AAA member to have a Desktop screen image which would be visible behind the AAA webpages. This is the point which I am trying to make as the ideal.

See what I am saying?

Uuuuhm. Righto then, that's good. Its current incarnation has a few issues in that several patches on the forum appear black and I'm not entirely sure why. However, if the current incarnation still allows user defined backgrounds I can rename it and keep it.

Ok this is much better  I quite like it. (Although it may be quite similar to SAS...not that that is a bad thing 8) ) I think that it would be worth making another banner to blend in with this colour scheme as well Big Grin

EDIT-the box for posting is completely black, so I had to guess then which button was the submit one :-?

EDIT 2-you posted before me Wink
