Neil Lowe Wrote:Thanx for this great improvement to the symbols and markings. One thing i noticed was that the numbers and letters for the RAAF and RN do not have the effect applied.
Could this please be done for the new version of your mod? I generally only fly RAAF or RN and this would be great for my immersion.
Thanx again for a great addon
Cheers, Neil
And thank you for using it, but,
Actually, this is McWolf’s add on called NewMat, and it is related to mine “Planeshine” mod only because we use similar techniques, altering .mat files. I alter gloss.mat which affect glossiness of all plane and McWolf alters files which affects markings and lettering.
It is possible that there are some issues with markings and “Planeshine” mod, ecpecialy when using “Mat Manager” as I understand it.
But seems that McWolf corrects that with this “newmat” mod, which I deeply recommend for using. (only german markings, unfortunately. But please do try it, it is very good.)
McWolf has kindly adjusted it to not be in colisssion with “Planeshine” mod. Problem with “Mat Manager” stays (and it is not with all markings there, as I understand it it is with RAF, RAAF and RN letterings) because I cant alter mat managers files. I am trying to fix it somehow though, and maybe it will be in a few days when “Planeshine” 1.1 will be out.
Or I am again misunderstood posts and jumping in my stomach and stealing McWolf’s topic, if is it the case, sorry
Quote:Now I wish you could help me on which 3DO file include those default textures of all marks.
As I understand, file overlay1(which could be found in every planes folder like: 3DO\Plane\CorsairMkI(Multi1))
somehow governs markings files, and that file calls texture which are here:
3DO\Plane\TEXTURES
And texture differs from plane to plane, like it was done in batches.
