You can make rivers and lakes open (not Frozen) easily: Open summer map and change textures in Load.ini to winter ones.
But, let me tell you that in SVIR front those rivers and lakes were frozen during winters.

The aim is to release the map together with a number of campaigns, at least three: one Soviet, one Finnish for the Curtiss Hawk set in 1942, and another Finnish set in 1940, using the Gladiator and the U2S.

An important feature in this map is of course, the Onega, that big inland lake, a "sister" to the Ladoga.

ClearCache just removes the files that where downloaded and saved in the missions/net/cache folder that you have flown in network missions, they are plane skins,pilotpics,missions etc.

It load's il2 quicker and saves a bit memory use for the game when it doesn't need to go through those thousends of files in the cache folder.

You might want to check how big that cache folder is :wink:

This "i cant save thing" appears time to time with new modded maps. It seems that IL2 cant read something. Sometimes its new objects, sometimes its tga files. If you change load.ini to some default ones, in SVIR map case you can use default finnsgulf or net5 maps load.ini. If that does not help, it is something else....
I have not used any modded objects. At least as far as i know!.
