I've seen your textures in Okinawa and I've seen that you've done the offset anti - tiling suggested in some tutorials around. But it has occurred to me that still the tiling happens even between different textures, even if you put manually different textures over the map, see what I mean:
Now, I've thought that, if you offset randomly the tiling between textures, maybe this effect dissapear completely:
