lol... everyone wants to 'just' make a mod instantly. go from zero to 100 in five seconds or less.
i've been involved with this game since 'before' it was released to the public...MANY years ago...and i've seen actual THOUSANDS that thought that. and you know how many actually did it?
... 0
:lol:
i'm not joking.
the normal thing for 95 percent of beginner modders goes like this;
1.) i'm gonna' build a 747 jumbo.
2.) or, i'm gonna' build an F-18.
3.) or, i'm gonna' build an X-Wing.
and so on. yet it 'never' happens that way.
i've made over a hundred plus mods (released) and maybe a hundred more unreleased, i've been involved with hundreds more, witnessed hundreds more... and it's never worked like that. especially for anything as complicated as a flyable aircraft.
you have to learn the basics of modding... even if you build a 3D eventully you have to know how to get it into the game (or get somebody to do it for you.) ---or you have a pretty model that means nothing. and the internet (and the dust of IL2's past) is full of pretty models that never got into the game.
anybody
can do it, but not everyone 'will' do it. why? because it takes patience, time, heavy thinking, care, hard work...and a willingness to learn and to experiment. it also requires starting with the bottom basics and going up. not starting at the top and going down.
at free modding we have tutorials that can show you 'step by step' how to do it... but that does not mean you 'actually' will do it. to be honest, few do. i feel lucky if out of forty or fifty guys who come there wanting to mod... i can get
one to actually start and 'finish' a mod.
so, if you're that one... read and do the tutorials, learn the basics, take it step by step, be stubborn, don't give up---and you 'can' do it.
good luck to you,
S!
