Yeah, I've been looking for them ever since you posted how to make extra train consists. I've looked all over the map and can't find them.

They are on my thailand map....and were on my version of this map

I loaded thr map into the game and now im getting a 60% load failure Confusedhock: this happened once before but i dont remember what i did to fix the problem

60% load failure is classic air.ini related stuff. Shouldn't be map related.

add these lines after the last german train.... near the top of the chiefs.ini..

Thanks FFB! I'm not sure how this RR roundhouse was left off the map but it's good that you posted the lines here so that others can add it to their mission files.

ATTENTION EVERYONE: Fabianfred had done some really great work with the railroad station in Rangoon. It would be to your benefit to copy the Roundhouse lines above and add them to your missions.

It might help to make and save a map template with these objects on it so that you can use it to make future missions.

to find how to populate the railyard with trains.... and I gave some example routes for the same Rangoon yards on the Thailand map......(obviously the co-ordinates would be wrong for this map)

The mission I added here has many trains running around rangoon on this BurmaLower map... so you can copy just the trains from this mission file and add them to other missions with rangoon as a target.

Battle for Arakan

A 15-mission campaign with the RAF 135 Squadron during the First Arakan Offensive, January - May 1943, flying the Hurricane MkIIB.

Historical Background:
1942 saw the British forces pushed out of Burma and to the area around Chittagong, India (present day Bangladesh). The Japanese took control of Akyab Island and the land to the north all the way to Maungdaw and Buthidaung.

This is where the front stabilized and the only serious fighting was done in the air. Both sides had problems with logistics and neither army could manage to gather enough troops or supplies to mount any type of offensive.

Finally, by mid-December 1942, the British were able to begin a limited offensive in the Arakan with the 14th Infantry Division. The objective was to take control of the Mayu Peninsula and take Foul Point at its southern end. Foul Point was five miles across the water from Akyab and this would allow the port to be within range of artillery fire.

By January 1943, the British and Indian troops had taken Maungdaw and Buthidaung and much of the Mayu Peninsula. However, the Japanese built strong defenses at Donbaik with very durable bunkers and this put a halt to the allied advance.

The RAF and JAAF were very active during this period, both offensively and defensively. The RAF built several new airfields around Cox's Bazar enabling them to be closer to the front. 135 Squadron was one of several Hurricane squadrons in the region and they saw much action in a ground-attack role as well as air-to-air combat against their counterparts, 50th Sentai and 64th Sentai.

-Place skins in the folder for Hurricane MkIIb.
-Missions are designed to choose the highest rank in campaign format using the #1 airplane of the squadron leader so choose skin "Hurricane IIB 135 Sqn WK-B".
#2 uses skin "Hurricane IIB 135 Sqn WK-D"
#3 uses skin "Hurricane IIB 135 Sqn WK-R"
#4 uses skin "Hurricane IIB 135 Sqn WK-U"
Other Hurricanes will use "Hurricane IIB 135 Sqn roundels"
-Missions are based on the types of missions flown by Hurricane 135 Sqn in the Arakan. Some missions may be difficult but I tried to re-create based on historical facts as best possible. Know when to retreat.

For those of you who do not have the UI and you manually install MODS, this might help...
You may have some missing objects from LAL Rone's Hangar MODS and some of Fabianfred's new objects. See this link...
(The link is inoperative)

BurmaLower map uses some of these objects which are also used on Fabianfred's Thailand map because Fabianfred started making BurmaLower and it has these objects.
I think this might be the major problem for people who do not have the Unified Installer (UI 1.1.1) including its Patch.

I think if you can download this Patch, you can manually install these object files. Hope this helps.

Hello,

This is amazing... I had just finished watching "Jphn Rambo" in Burma and what do I see? A Burma map for Il-2 1946..Now that's a coincidence ! ("I just want to go home")

Now if somebody could tell me which river leading to Burma they're talking in the movie and where it is on the map...

I believe Rambo started in Thailand, crossed the border and went up the Salween River in Burma into Karen territory, eastern Burma.
I just watched the DVD a few days ago and the extra pieces about the film tell a little about the location. Saw it for the first time when it hit the theaters and that sparked more interest in building this map. Stallone says he hoped for more interest in Burma and he certainly got mine.

The Salaween river forms the border for some of its length between Burma and Thailand... then goes on into NE Burma.....

I never liked the Rambo movies..... and like many of this type they try to make Asians look stupid and Americans supermen :roll:

If you download only v1.4 then you need to have:

I have the UI 1.1.1 and this doesn't work, It comes up blank can't go into this further but you need to contact Monguse for further info TY

Why do I need to contact Monguse? I'm not sure I understand what you're telling me.
If you are having problems send me a PM and maybe we can figure it out.
Perhaps files are missing or some files are in the wrong location.
Others have had problems but have it fixed and working.
