I ran your pure AI test 4bf109G2 vs 4p40m, head on no advantage, average skill. The first time, the BFs took it 4-0, with some damage, the second time the P-40s took it 4-0, with some damage.
Not too sure what to tell you, other than to try the new version.
What means "first time" and "second time"?
Also was the test "pure" AI that means no player in the mission (there's randomness even if you hit autopilot right at the start of the mission, that's why I wanted a "pure" ai test, if you repeat you get always the same result, no randomness)
The outcome depends of course of head on altitude and speed, I'll see what happens if starting conditions are different, anyway here's the mission.
Avatar Wrote:S! certificate. Thanks for the quick updates! Just had a chance to check out the latest version with the mission I mentioned having bomber take off issues and unfortunately it is still the same. I really like what else you've done but I guess the reduced power that you've programed just makes these guys no longer able to take off from this particular base. Thanks again for your efforts.

And how is this mod compatible with online gameplay?
CUJO_1970 Wrote:This might be the most important mod available for offline play.
Haven't had the time to test in-depth yet...but I've had a couple of QMB fights that were very similar to my online fights against a quality human opponent. For those of you that have never flown online...there is no comparison at all between a good human opponent and the AI of v4.08.
This mod appears to be the first step in bridging that gap.
certificate Wrote:Hmm, I made a different case for takeoff power settings, I thought that would fix it. Can you send me that mission?, I can probably figure it out if I have a look.
Thanks.
Avatar Wrote:certificate, I owe you an apology sir. I was getting ready to send you the mission and decided to test it once more with your mod disabled to make sure all is still as I reported and to my surprise 2 out of 4 of the bombers crashed on take off! This never happened before or with your first version disabled. Then it dawned on me... I installed another mod before testing your 1.2 version. I had installed the Reduced Airfield Radius mod. So obviously my test of your mod wasn't valid since I changed the variables by installing something else. So I disabled that mod and tested with your mod also disabled and all was well. I then enabled your mod and all was still well! So it was all my fault and not your mod, at least not your latest version. Sorry about the false alarm and again, thanks again for your efforts. S!
