Good call. There seems to be an increase in the number of "I want", but with no contribution in any form to this forum. Demonstrate a willingness to enhance the game in knowledge, design or programs before you hold out you hand. It is what this forum is all about.

Forgot why I wanted just now, ah yes. Can you access the normal FMB objects in the Enhanced FMB? I cannot seem to find them.

yes you can, under view objects .... but they are categorized .... houses .... airports

But not all the objects appear in menu.

For example Objects/Sea lists only 4 items. No cranes and no nice red and white lighthouses.

Is there a way to access these additional objects?

Just found this at Mission4today and printed it out. I'm at work now so can't verify the catagories, but will do so tonight if not already done. But it does seem like things are missing.

All objects are there, just take a bit more time scrolling all the cathegories and you'll find them Big Grin

BTW, it seams that i don't have any new object ( slovakia and such...) in my FMB (and exp/FMB) ... but on maps they are present . Is that normal or i messed something up ? ( as usual )

Another thing you have to deal with is the "interesting" naming convention for the editor :roll:

Palm trees show-up in the "Furniture" pull-down menu.

I have got the new Slovakia objects in FMB.
There are some interesting castles which are positioned up in the air.
Must be some trick to get them at the correct height on an irregular terrain.

But I still cant find harbour cranes and the red and white lighthouses

I think they are designed to sit on top of another object.

While I find some of the new scenery in various new maps interesting, it amazes me the choices made in terms of time spent. Make a hugely complex castle, that can only really be used in one spot, or make somethign we have needed since day one, a long row of trees (on the dark side) that are as tall as the layered forests.

Or even a clear rectangle with a picture of trees on it (a side view version of "layered forests.").

For someone capable of making a castle, the latter must be trivial, yet they don't do it. They make german and russian labeled fuel carts, then make a 3d clone with beer in it, but don't make an unlabeled version, lol.

Sigh.

From what I remember, the castle in the air (Eagle's Nest or something) which appears as if it is floating in the air is actually a normal object which has transparent base.

Found them!!

The lighthouses are in Norway Houses

and the cranes were in Pacific Houses

--- all very logical :lol:

It would be a hell of a useful exercise for someone to index all the objects and relate them to the object numbers which we already know and love. There are pdf indexes to the objects already available but it would be useful to reference these to their location in the FMB Map Editor menu.

ok.... i managet to get new objects intp FMB ,

i've removed all files but air.ini from \files\com\maddox\il2\objects .... can someone please check which files should be in that folder ?

I don't seem to have a \files\com\maddox\il2\objects folder.

Am I missing something important?

probably not ..... must be leftover from some mod or test on my side .... i'll try to remove mine than
