If every cockpit can be repainted to this or the Tempests level of excelence it will hugely increase the life of this game!..
I'm not even worrying about the release date of SoW anymore, as for the last few months I've been more excited on my daily visits to this site to see what has been discovered or improved next.. Love it

Well it's a shame that they blinker so many people out there in the community, because this would be a top talked about thread on any of the forums, what a shame only the 'exclusive few' who visit here (in comparison to the masses), will be the only ones to see such beauty.

Can't agree more. My PC now plays IL2 at 1920x1200 with everything on and 16xAF and 8xAA, why do I need another Sim, when the guys here are creating the vision that should have been done by 1C, if they only weren't so stuck-up, to allow you guys a chance to work for them? I mean, you let us have these for free, so why don't 1C start to endorse the work you do, and let the community fall in love with the game all over again (I have always been in love with it though ; ) )

To be honest, I think this is a route that a few of the skinners on the Paintschemes Forum, if they lnew how to do it, would relish the chance of having a go at.

I really hope that Avala will release a tutorial on how to do this work, as I'm sure others would certainly take up the challenge, and maybe, juuuusssttttt maybe, the P-47 will get the quality that it deserves...as well as the correct gunsite recticle, not that crappy Hexagon thing

I think that the entire batch of Yak’s need skilful and pedant repaint, problem with Russian planes and their exteriors is that there is no enough material about them, photographs especially.

Most of the tutorials are already on this forum. And I think that we will see more even better cockpit repaints then this mine is.

SM, I agree with this, but I also think that the day when will BoB-SOW be released will be the day that all of us will loose our down jaws (so called “drooling day”) :mrgreen:

I want to do the FW-190 but which files do I need to open up and with what programs do I use to open it. I have Paint Shop Pro X and I Ive done some skins and paints for IL2 and FS2004. Is the cockpit file the same as the skin file.
