I posted shots of ondonga ages ago. You not getting my email?
Really sharp. I am looking forward to this one!!!!!
Good photo!.. an interesting shot as it shows the newer national insignia on both wings of some aircraft..
Yeah, mixed up markings were certainly typical. Some with surrounds, others without. Some official bars, others likely slapped on, on top of the original star roundel.
Do you think the darker areas at the bend in the wing is from groundcrew rearming the planes?
The lighter areas of the wing are actually fabric and plywood areas, these tended to fade faster than metal areas. Also note the leading edge wing root area, the spot over the oil cooler/intercooler/carburetor air intake, it is very light because the paint has been worn away from mechanics standing on that area while servicing the engine, placing starter cartridges, adding oil and repairing anything inside the engine accessory area. You can also see the spring loaded step pad for access to the cockpit is very worn.
I have been watching this work since day one...remember when Skunkmeister was trying to define the scope? Look how far this has gone!
No one take offense, please...but as a humble user and observer, let me give this critical advice: the map is only as good as its missions. How many of you have flown Slovakia? I have not, mainly because there are no missions or campaigns of interest to take me there.
Please get the skilled mission builders involved soon. I am not one now, though I hope to be some day. I will not name any mission builders, since I may insult by omission, but please seek then out and engage them soon.
