Here is little update.
As it is usually in life there is good and bad news. Bad news is that options in making new ships are extremely limited so most of the ships will be just resized version of existing ships and in some cases armament will be added or changed.

Good news is that I'm working with Archie who is making skins for ships so new ships will come with new skins. Only problem in this cooperation is Archie's limited knowledge of English but that only slow things down.

Here is final list of ships that will be included in first version.

2-Tanker1-------finished, Archie need to make skin
3-Tanker2-------almost finished, I'll add one cannon , Archie need to make skin
4-TankerDmg-------finished, Archie need to make skin

5-Tral0------not finished
6-Tral1------not finished

7-Destroyer0----not finished, that will be just a clone of US Fletcher class destroyer
8-Destroyer1----not finished,that will be just a clone of US Fletcher class destroyer
9-Destroyer2----not finished,that will be just a clone of US Fletcher class destroyer
10-DestroyerDmg----not finished,that will be damaged destroyer
11-DestroyerWreck----not finished,this will be half sunken ship

12-Fisherman----not finished, that will be small fisherman boat

Why Fletcher?

The Wickes Class 4-stackers were used by the RN (80 sent lend-lease), and The USS Stewart was captured by the IJN where she became IJN PB-102.

Thanks for the update FC. Is the takeoff problem with the CVL related to the deck, of just ship speed insufficient?

Deck spawn points are problem, speed is easy to change.

The USN 4-stack DD we have in il-2.

BTW, assuming deleting weapons is possible, the RN removed the TTs and used them as escorts.

Adding and deleting weapons is one of the rare things that can be done. TT=torpedo tubes???

Yeah. TT= torpedo tube.

They actually put some of them on Fairmiles, I believe (coastal boats)

Probably not critical. Not sure if they'd have been seen in the far east, I think most got used as convoy escorts in the Atlantic

How about the delayed sink times..??

will that come with the mod pack or is it a seperate thing......(maybe we can get that sooner..??)

So, at the very worst, we might end up with a carrier we could only fly onto? That would be better than nothing I suppose. Does the arresting gear work OK?

My plan was to have one ships pack but more i get frustrated with ship building more is likely that new ships will be in separate pack from general ships mod which will include new sink times.

I don't know, that should be tested by someone who can land on a carrier, not me. :lol:
