Guys - I can only say that you've created a whole new standard for everyone here, and have absolutly BLITZED anything the game has as a 'stock' feature - I remember looking at the sneak previews for Slovakia, and having to make an effort to raise my jaw... And compared to your work... just wow!

Slovakia is pretty damned stunning. They are map modders, too, just "blessed" by 1C is all.

Funny to think that when we start on Rabaul we'll actually have some idea what we are doing Wink

I prefer to fight against the Japs in the Pacific but Ive always found the maps that come with PF somewhat disapointing, not enough allied airfields. I cant wait until this map comes out, it looks awesome

So what all maps are planned?

There is a slot map, and you just mentioned a Rabaul map ... What else does Team Pacific have planned? Is there a Philippines map planned?

Just curious ...

islands maps can be the easiest for us becuase they don't envolve lots of cities and roads. the rabaul map, I think, should go quicker than the slot did. we've since learned a lot of time saving techniques. we also have a better understanding of the limitations of the tools and the game engine.
during the research for the slot we also grabbed rabaul data when we game across it so we have a tiny head start on the research part of it.

the August 1942 slot map is about 95% done. most of the static objects that will be place on the map are there. i'm doing some AI airfield testing tonight before it goes of to others to be tested further.

USN destroyer conducts naval gunfire support against targets at Munda Airfield, New Georgia. Kogengola Hill, site of General Sasaki's HQ, is just to the left of center, with Japanese positions on tree-covered Bibilio Hill further to the left. Roviana Lagoon is just to the right of center. 8)
