You will not be disappointed by this map. The team is anxious for me to wrap up my little project so I'm off to finish it and send off the work
Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?
I'm sorry I didn't offer anything to this thread, but I will say I can't wait to fly from Henderson up the chain of islands.

Is this a good time to ask when will it be out? See, true to form I am again posting a "when will it be released" reply.
It's looking absolutely fantastic!
i have 2.5 airfields left to do and 10 hours of available time to do them in between now and friday. agian, this is a hobby for us and our real jobs come 1st. I'm glad i have a DVR, i haven't seen a TV in about 3 weeks.
Just did a final check on my little project. Completed
Who on the team wants to get the files?
one design choice i'm glad we made was deciding to release the solomon islands map in many different time periods durring the campaign. it always bugged me trying to build a mission on the stock maps and there was an airfield that wasn't were it should be or one that was present that wouldn't have been there during the combat of that time. as the versions are played, you'll see the airfields grow in complexity as the war progresses. some will be abandoned.
it would have been very simple for the stock maps to be done this way. i wish they had done so. perhaps they didn't have time to read all the books we read.
Heheh. Always hated overflying US airstrips at dobodura to attack Buna.
I asked a loong time ago at ubi if they could make a copy of the NG map and delete the US airfields near Buna (all the Dobodura fields).
Too hard I guess to lasso them, hit delete, "save," then give it a new name.
LOL.
Spud, you should know its "Impossible!"
