Then as far as the MODS are concerned 4.09b becomes the final release, which is absolutely no problem as all of the MODS work great with it. To my knowledge the un-modded 4.08 Dedicated Server will not support custom maps, so some bright individual here will have to figure out how to "crack it" if we want to use these new maps online. Once that is done, it should be easy to mod the 4.08 version to support 4.09b. If 4.09 never sees the light of day, then I see no reason to stay on 4.08, just because it is an "official release". Most of us here are not willing to settle for "the default", especially if you have to give up all the wonderful maps textures and objects that came with 4.09b.

Team Pacific has lots of new projects we want to pursue. While you are waiting for those to be released, the six maps you get with The Slot and all the other great maps that will be released by other artists should keep you busy for a very long time. 8)
