Fabian, this maps looks wonderful, absolutely A1! Confusedhock: Now, if i could fly over it, that would be icing on the cake. Cry I have the same issue as Cpt. Biggles...I sorted out all the issues with Canon's map just this afternoon, and it is running fine. I've had LAL_Rone's hangers mod installed since it came out. I have only one static ini (Canon's) and added Thai map name to load.ini and fabian's static ini. lines added to the static.ini. No joy. (I didn't bother with the v.2 map patch, obviously.)

Zulu, Cpt. Biggles, can either of you give me any advice?

Thanks!

Since there are some people who are using the map without problems it is difficult for me to know where the others are going wrong......

at my download site....

I am putting a copy of my own latest static.ini
those who wish to try it out, just disable their own by making a 'New folder' and dragging their static.ini file into it and replacing it with mine to see if it helps

FabianFred, I reckon the problem may be "when" Cannonuk's map is installed, as part of it's installation it overwrites the static.ini file (well it did on mine), so if you have already added Lal Rone's hangar Mod stuff to your static.ini file, that info will disappear. I would recommend the install order of - first Cannonuk's Channel map, followed by Lal Rone's Hanger Mod then add Fabianfreds excellent Thailand map.

Hope this helps

Well in each case where a map gives you new objects...you need to ADD the lines to your existing Static.ini.....definately not overwrite

Once you have a static.ini in the default position (now it is MODS/STD/com/maddox/il2/objects/) you should never need to delete anything from it...just add more lines

if you are new to the static.ini...please read this...

nah fred, fine with the static stuff (so far) , you're misunderstanding me, what I'm saying is that when you install the channel map it overwrites the static.ini file as part of it's installation process, so if you have added lines to the static.ini file previously, then those entries are lost (eg Hangar mod) and need to be re-added. To confirm this I made a copy of my static.ini file (258Kb) and reinstalled the channel map and it overwrote the static.ini file (222Kb).

well that is a problem with the channel map...it should give you the file list to add to yours and his static as an option only....not a default overwrite

Don't forget ....if everything is working OK....update to the Patch V.2a....which will give you a new actors.static and other files to replace the ones in your first install

nicer textures and a bigger airstrip at Mingladon...and a few extra bridges

True m8 true, it would explain perhaps why some are having problems (the problem is not your map but the overwrite with the channel map), and why I suggested the order in which people could install to avoid this ie Channel map - hangar mod (and add to static file) - then your map (and add to static file).

Minor bug at Chang Mai the northern threshold has a couple of trees on it and the smooth surface seems to start a little way down the runway. Love this map btw.

That airstrip at Chiangmai has the invisible kronstadt plates on top to smooth it....but not for the taxi ways and maybe I didn't extend it that far...... (a pilot would get to know the rough areas of a strip and try to avoid them).

IRL all airstrips in this theatre were usually loose sand/gravel/mud ...... and Chiangmai was unuseable in the rainy season.......

The random trees have nothing to do with me....as I didn't place any normal trees in the strips area...just the local varieties like bamboo and coconut palms and banana....you only get to see those at certain graphic settings in Perfect mode

Thanks for the bug reports anyway

My original download does. You're obviously talking about the installer that was made for my map by another user.
