I've taken you up on your kind offer too, zulu64.

I can get the map in FMB and have a look around - it looks great. Really looking forward to flying over it.

A strange thing that might help, I can fly the Channel map in QMB but not FMB - don't know if that's any help to our problem solvers or not.

Hi Fred,
Just installed the new Thai map.
I can see it in three d
I can see the hanger mods from Larone.
I have never been able to see your trees.
I have them in MODS/ Trees_Textures/ 3do/ Palms 1/ Palms 2 etc.
I m currently using your static.ini
Can not save missions at the moment.
I am using 4.09 mod with the Jap zero painting.

I must admit that I did not take notice of the ffb_Thailand got frustrated the other night.
As they say here in Thailand Sah-tu-pid!!!

Hopefully working out the saving issue before the week end.

I'll definitey be populating your map to a great extent.

Your OJ map is great too flew all over Japan and landed in Korea after a three hour flight.

Well, thanks for the help guys...but I've tried both Fabian's and Zulu's static.ini files and still can't save a mission.

Shame, map looks very nice.

I reckon your problem is that you still have one object missing from your install. Probably the infamous "Blister" that Canon forgot to include in his BoB map. Not sure if he ever updated the map to include this essential item (can't save a mission without it). Maybe thats why so many are still having greif.

From page 6 of the, BETA - English Channel 1940 (4.09) thread:

Canonuk wrote:

"Right - I've discovered one custom object I forgot to include.
Place this folder in CAN_Objects\3do\Buildings\Pacific

http://www.canons-skins.com/aaa/Blister.zip

You'll need to use my static.ini for the correct entry. "

..........................................

Note: You don't need the whole static ini if you prefer to keep your own. You can just add these lines from Canon's to yours...

[buildings.House$Blisterhangar]
Title Blister_Hangar
MeshLive 3do/Buildings/Pacific/Blister/live.sim
MeshDead 3do/Buildings/Pacific/Blister/dead.sim
AlignToLand 0
AddHeightLive -7.0
AddHeightDead -7.0
Body RockBig
Panzer 0.50 //0.20

Do that, and also put the Blister files in the mods folder too (3do\Buildings\Pacific) and you should then be right.

if not sure of correct file structure/path then look at the entry in the static.ini....

3do/ Flora/Palms 1

3do/Tree/Banana2

[buildings.House$FurnitureTreeBanana2]
Title TreeBanana2
MeshLive 3do/Tree/Banana2/live.sim[/b]

... please fabianfred .... remember that i've putted all your objects into one folder (AAA official map mods structure)

so for all who did install it with auto installer correct path is :

\MODS\OBJECTS_ffb\3do\Tree\Banana2\

or for palms :

\MODS\OBJECTS_ffb\3do\ Flora\Palms 1 \

cheers

Hi, I wondered if I could find the world famous monument of Angkor Wat in this map. I flew all over the area of Siem Raep and the close airfields, but I didn't find it. Is it there? :?:
