I agree! You should have your own 'Spitfire cockpit' thread.

The glass is tinted but whole in same color not gradiently, but all of them are (usually in white or grayish, mine is bluish) but it gives some tone to the "outside" when looking from certain angle, if light falls at certain angle, and at some time of the day settings. Sometimes it is almost invisible. Same for the "inside".

It is painted also to give effect that you are in the bubble (which you are in Spitfire). Nice looking sky in that screenshot is because I catched good angle, you can see that viewpoint is little down than usual. It helps also Normandy2 setting sun, about 19:30 hours, clear weather, that's why left side of the canopy is lighted, because sun was on right.

This is same map Normandy2 12pm clear weather. I am sure that there are people who will not like this effect, but it is easy to remove texture and to have old one. Anyway it may all look completely different at the end.

All on its time, I want first to have more textures finished.

Would it be possible for someone to try the F4U pit? it's one of my favorite planes to fly, but the cockpit is just plain ugly! (probably my least favorite in the game!)

How did I miss this? Great news that you are working on the Spit, Avala. Your Hurricane cockpit is superb and it will be fantastic to have the Spitfire brought up to the same quality.

Hi Avala! What's up with your PC? could you fix it?

hi guys

I'm using Freddie's 109 cockpit repaints and CaptFlushGardens's 190 cockpit repaints.

One feature that I like in the 109's is the girl photo/memento/pinup that you can customize.

I'm embedding a picture with possible locations on the 190 cockpit variants that might hold a picture

if anyone is already working in that or can point me in the correct direction as what files modify, please PM me

I know it could be of use to the community.

Hi.

First of, I love the cockpit work done here! I have downloaded most of it, and I am very satisfied! Nothing beats taking off in the sunset and looking at the lady picture in the 109`s before engaging the enemy

I`m going to put in a more or less awkward cockpit request:

The Mitsubishi A6M2 Type 21 Zero has a reserve iron sight in case the illuminated reticule sight breaks. I do not like the reticule sight too much, and when I sometimes get cockpit damage and the Iron Sight pops up, I get much better accuracy with the iron sight (And it looks cooler!)

Should anyone remove the illuminated reticule and have the iron sight up only (Without the reticule in front of the Iron Sight.) I would be very grateful if they could put it up here.

Sincerely Yours
