Deadly morning on the sea

eh, wasn't really after you mate, my temper's just admittedly a bit short right now as i've been awake for the last 48 hours trying to finish up a paper for class (the trials of working two jobs and being a masters student...PHENOMENAL AMOUNTS OF WORK TO DO!!, itty bitty time to do it in). and also would like to point out that often things like sarcasm and 'tongue in cheek' do not come across quite as easily in type as they do in spoken word (a lesson learned from other posts on this board and just in posting in boards in general) without it being laid on really thick if not stated outright. but after rereading jarmo's post i see more what he was really trying to say so sorry for going on the defensive there a bit mate...misunderstandings cleared.

I never said bomb skimming in IL2 was particularly realistic. I just meant it was possible in game. but on the subject of skimming stuff on water, the dambuster bomb was originally carried in a wooden crate. That skimmed twice, then shattered and the bomb bounced out and skimmed for a bit longer. There's fottage. Its what made Barnes Wallis and his team make the bomb be carried the way it was for the raid.

Annoying the annoying, so you don't have to.

Well chug, I myself was speaking from a realistic point of view bearing in mind the game is supposed to reflect reality or did I get that wrong? I tend to look at screenies from a realistic point of view & not what you can do in game, anyway, this is a pointless bit of banter as your comment was game based and mine reality based....so were at cross purposes...hope that clears it up Smile

And for anyone else having a bit of a bleat about this bomb and that bomb & who did what with that bomb where....which is irrelavent, My comment was reality based as Ive said and strictly made with regard to the JU 88 AS SEEN IN THE PIC and its particular loadouts which consisted by majority of SC & AB type bombs none of which can be dropped at low level into water or on land for that matter, or 'skipped' without the aircraft becoming a victim of its own ordnance, now are we happy all you know it all argumemtative I know this and that more than you nana na nana you're wrong I am right types? Geeeez....internet know it alls ...'shakes me head' in disbelief...
