U-99 Otto Kretschmer

This is my first and last U-boat model. It's a Revell 1/125 U-99. NEVER buy one! the quality is so rubbish, I was ashamed of the result. nothing fits nothing AT ALL. No panel lines, no details AT ALL.

it doesn't seem like a good quality of model, but if you think it turned out poorly, (no offense) you're quite crazy! (please don't take what i said personally!)

Really? Thank you guys! I didn't now that it was an old kit, hence the poor quality.

My next project is putting a historical anomaly into my BoB scramble diorama by an airfix Bedford refueller (from 1941, but I don't care. There's no 1/72 Albions anyway), and a 1/48 Douglas Bader Spitfire diorama. I hope they'll turn out better Smile

Dont write off Revell and U-Boats altogether, they do a superb 1/72 version, mind you at about a Metre long its hard to find a space for it.
I got the Andrea minatures crew for mine, adds a bit of life to the kit.

Wow, that looks very nice! It seems revell bothered more about details in 1/72, than in 1/125.. Too bad that even this 1/125 is too big to find a suitable place for it in my room.
