Yeah, I use MAT Manager. It replaces all markings with much better looking and historical ones for all nations. It works regardless if you use mods or not.

Yes, I added a line to conf.ini.
Then swastika was displayed, but german Campaigns award was disappeared. (Finlands too?)

OK, is this entry case sensitive? I have "HakenAllowed=1" and no Rosen Cross or Swastika's appear.

EDIT: Nope! Tried all lowercase and no joy. Sad

What's the dang deal anyway? I can understand this for general European/Eastern hemisphere release, especially in countries that have suffered under the Nazi regime, and Germany that rightfully wants to put this sad moment of their nation's history behind them.

The default locations for the .tga's for campaign awards is (In this case German) i.e.;

C:\program files\ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions\Campaign\DE\award0.tga

Whereas the MOD should have targeted the Aircraft;

C:\program files\ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Paintschemes\Decals\German\Haken0.tga

This is where the Hakenkreuz mod should be located i.e.;

C:\program files\ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\HakenKreuz\Paintschemes\Decals\German\Haken0.tga
C:\program files\ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\HakenKreuz\Paintschemes\Decals\German\Haken1.tga

etc...

I suspect that a campaign(s) you have, has used the name for a graphic award#.tga as Haken#.tga, FAFHaken#.tga. I would recommend you uninstall the HakenKreuz mod and just try the config.ini entry.

Taurus.

I just tried that as well and no joy.
Oleg must have made a major code change when he found out that the earlier incarnations of the game had a way to enable these historical markings.

Your config.ini is located at i.e.

C:\program files\ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\config.ini

And the Hakenkreuz mod should be located i.e.;

C:\program files\ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\HakenKreuz\Paintschemes\Decals\German\Haken0.tga
C:\program files\ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\HakenKreuz\Paintschemes\Decals\German\Haken1.tga
etc... ?

If not could you show us where they are located?

Yes, the directory is correct.

But, even if I delete the /MOD/HakenKreuz folder(& hakenallowed=1), it is the same situation.

Install /MOD/HakenKreuz folder(& hakenallowed=0), then normal(swastika was not displayed & Award was displayed).

....I had used this before.
