I made some QMB missions for Canon's Channel map. There are over 300 ground objects, so the scenery is pretty crowded. The mission names are not what they really are, I tried to set up the missions so that they are historically correct for BoB, or 1942-43 offensive missions.

Red none - dogfight over the cliffs of Dover

Red Scramble - scramble from Hawkinge AF. Quick as you can, the airfield is being attacked!

Red Bridge - Take off from Hawkinge AF, intercept Huns over the Channel

Red Armor - Escor/sweep over Rouen - flight 2 and 3 are attacking ground targets

Red Airbase - Attack Amiens Airfield - 2 hun flights taking off, 2 in air

Red Strike - Fighter sweep over Dieppe


Blue none = Red none

Blue Scramble = Red airbase

Blue airbase = Red Scramble

I'm getting extra Spits and 110's when I load a Spit Vs 109 in these missions that I didn't select. Am I doing something wrong?

No, it's nothing you did. CannonUK included them in the map for some reason. If it annoys you, you could probably open the missions up in FMB and remove them?

I feel like I am having a complete brain fart but I cannot figure out how to get these missions to work.

I've been reading on this forum on how to install missions so that I can use the different maps on QMB.

I have a Quick folder in:

Mods/QMBPlus/Missions/Quick

and I have put a Quick folder in Missions/Quick

I do not have a Quick or Missions folder in Files.

There is a Quicks folder in the main game directory.

I have installed QMBPlus according to its directions and can fly on some of the maps.

Where do I put the files in this download so that I can fly missions on the Channel map?

OK, open that quick folder that is inside the "Missions/Quick" and copy its content directly into the Quick folder.

The Quicks folder you see in tne main game directory is for something else, leave it there.

You do not need a Quick folder in files and actually you should not need one in the main Missions folder but it does no harm to have it there.

Would you mind saying that in a slightly different way? It's not clear to me what you are saying.

There are 10 MIS files in the download.

Which Quick folder do I put them in?

I take that to mean that the path you describe is: Mods/QMBPlus/Missions/Quick/Quick

If that is true, open the last Quick folder in that path, take anything inside it and put it into the first Quick folder in that path.

If that is not so, I have no idea what is causing your problem.

The 10 MIS files stay right where they are.

I hope you can get it working.

Oops....you are talking about the 10 mis files in the download, right?

OK, put them in the last folder in this path: Mods/QMBPlus/Missions/Quick folder.

Open the Quick folder and put the files in it

Guys, I have all the maps that I need installed in QMB. But I got no filelist.txt anywhere in my IL-2 folders. Pls advise where exectly I need to create one. If you could post yours it would be very helpful, because I dont know format of this file.

it's FILES(!)/missions/quick, and it's CustomX=Channel

Reflected, thanks for your missions, but I can't figure out which FILES folder you refered to. At no point duriing the mods installation I created /missions/quick folders in the FILES root folder. But I've got your folders structure ('FILES(!)/missions/quick') only in the MODS folder as follows: MODS\QMBPlus 1.1\files\Missions\Quick

At some point during the tutorial install it was requested to copy Quck folder to the following location: \\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions\Quick and it has *00.mis files similar to yours. So when I go to FMB, open the Channel map and click Load I can see folder Quick with the above missions. Other than that there's no Missions\Quick branch in the root 'files\\' folder.
