Sorry guys, I was hoping many would know by now, my apologies for assuming.

Ok, you have two choices, you can either put them in:

IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/Files/Samples [This is the way I have it set up now in the rar archive for easier use]

OR

IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/Mods/**New folder; name it yourself**/Samples

The .prs file should go in the following folder(s):

IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/Files/Presets/Sounds

OR

IL-2 Sturmovik 1946/Mods/**New folder; name it yourself**/Presets/Sounds

Does it go into a folder in MODS, (IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\mod\newsound\samples) or into IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\files\Samples?

okey, i shall try better whit my English then :wink:
if u have installed the English sound mod, then u should have a folder cal files in ur IL-2 Sturmovik 1946
there u find the samples map, and there u can put the files, BUT... if u dont have English sound mod, or just want to test new sounds whiteout to over write the old one, u can create a new folder in ur mod folder, like i describe before. or what AIRdomination say in the post before my one.

My Firefox got hosed the first time I tried downloading, now I get a "Error

Mah, they sound sweet in media player but i just can't hear a thing in game :\ No idea why. Tried it both ways, put files under /MODS folder and also under Files/samples... folder (one per try). No go :S What am i doing wrong man, WHAT!

It would be nice if you put up the sounds so we can hear them before installing them.

I just downloaded them and playerd them. Pretty good stuff. I tried to compare with those in IL2 standard install, but couldn't find them. LOL

Anyway, good stuff
