it actually IS cool.

so what, you don't like others poking around the holy grail? how did an expert get one?
try and error is fair game if you ask me.

and asing stuff on a webforum is even more fair game.
heck, IL2 is a game.

so why bashing someone who is havoing fun at playing around and asking stuff without offending anyone?

Full ack. The only thing we should respect are restrictions applying to the contents being posted here.
Furthermore we should keep in mind that modifying FMs might bear the risk of breaking balance in online gameplay, though I'm still confident that crt=2 can deal with this threat.

No one wants to "bash" somebody else.
Personally my "problem" with Verhängnis is that he's asking stuff here while he's voting to deprive others of the same knowledge in another thread, kind of "I wanna know but nobody else should". That sounds childish to me.

If someone wants to deal with IL-2's classfiles, he/she should have some basic java skills at least - I guess Verhängnis is missing this point and it's simply not the task of us and/or this board to provide a "programming for wannabes" course.
If someone wants to deal with IL-2's FM files, he/she should show a basic adult behaviour at least. I'm not sure how much this applies to Verhängnis, I'd be glad to be proven that it does.

I do not have anything against trial and error, but the thing in it is that the one doing it should try to learn something on it, how it works, get some "Bon voyage moments" and bla bla bla.

You're absolutely right.
Generally speaking I'd expect a modder to provide some basic skills in order to be enlightened of the remaining skills missing.
Then, when the modder became introduced in the more sophisticated stuff, he/she should be able to prove reasonable progress in learning the do's and dont's. Anything else is just a matter of time then.

It's pretty much like applying for a job.
Leaving a few exemptions, you're usually not expected to be the super-duper-ultra-senior-professional in exactly that single position you're applying for.
What you're expected to is to provide the required skills to take up the employment and assimilate the input from the pro's teaching you the rest.

No need to worry about FM's yet Verhängnis.
You can get a new aircraft created and flying in the game using one of the existing aircraft FM's, as I think you already know.
The FM is probably the last thing to think about not one of the first.

Please look at the IL2 FM rules of this site.
