Wow. Very nicely done. I wonder if these could be modified to update our crappy pilot figures?
These will be great thing to hard code into future maps, even if the FMB options are limited.

Thank you for kind words.

About grouping 4-5 characters, I think it would be too heavy... each soldier is much more poly object than any house  ... Already I had hesitations to make cavalry (1 soldier + 1 horse)

No, I think the best way now is to animate them for other positions and to get some more skinned uniforms as I said before... I'm not a good skinner so if someone talented wants to try...

Just tried a flyby of six. No slowdown noticed at all with a 8800gtx.

I was afraid of many complaints about fps

I've put around twenty together and don't seem to have problems, i have a 8800gt. My computer is above the average though....

This mod is absolutly brilliant ... 5 big stars!!!!

You can reduce the colors to 8 bit. No quality lost but you can reduce the size of the textures up to 50 %

Bangin job! Great improvement to IL2.

I would like to see the TGA files converted to 8 bit indexed as well.
The "Bright" or "Brighter" tool will do the trick.

1. It will reduce the file size to half.

2. I think the IL2 sim only displays 8 bit indexed. May improve the FPS if files are 8 bit. I think the rule applies to AC skins, objects (static & moving), land textures. No point having extra when IL2 wont display.

Thanks for the DL.

Where can I find these once installed?
Are they objects in the FMB?
